Calallen ISD - 2nd Grade
Calallen Independent School District is seeking to improve foundational language skills for 2nd-grade students. The need for intervention emerged from the Spring 2024 MAP test results, revealing significant gaps in reading proficiency.
The team employed the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) to structure the training process, ensuring a systematic approach to developing effective instructional materials.
The ADDIE model was chosen for its structured, step-by-step approach, which ensures a comprehensive development process. By following the phases of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation, the team can systematically address the performance gap, create targeted instructional materials, and refine the training based on feedback, leading to effective learning outcomes.
